With extensive knowledge of acute healthcare environments of all types, Carol Doering provides project leadership at the highest level for healthcare clients across the country, engaging in work at all scales and levels of complexity. As IA Interior Architect’s Healthcare Design Practice Area leader, Carol is directly involved in all aspects of planning, design and execution for the firm’s health and wellness projects. She has spent the last 30 years successfully managing complex healthcare projects as well as tracking healthcare industry trends and benchmarking. Her work experience also includes long-term and continuing care environments, government, commercial, and educational clients.

Lisa Herriott, IIDA, LEED AP ID+C
Interior Designer, Project Manager

Lisa has over 20 years of professional healthcare design experience working in both architecture firms and healthcare facilities. Her extensive background includes working on projects of all types and sizes in healthcare from acute care, ambulatory settings and public spaces. Lisa supports an evidence-based design framework for all projects and encourages a participatory design process with the design team and end users to ensure shared ownership, a positive patient experience and project success.

With a master’s degree in cultural studies, Lisa has developed a keen awareness for healthcare design that not only supports healing, but is also sensitive to the diverse multi-cultural and socio-economic populations that are served at the urban, safety-net hospital where she works. As a skillful planner and designer she works with a multi-disciplinary team of colleagues and design professionals to provide appropriate environments that support the needs of patients, families, visitors and staff. Lisa has a keen interest in continuing to understand and develop relationships between our physical environments and human well-being.


Tiana Lemons

Tiana Lemons is the Healthcare Studio leader for orcutt | winslow’s Nashville office. For the past 25 years, Tiana has given her talent to designing healthcare facilities across the country. Both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations have benefited from her keen eye and design sensibilities, including HCA, The Healthcare Corporation of America, and Reginal Care to name a few. 

Tiana is also a leader within her profession. A member of IIDA since 1991, she has served on the IIDA Tennesse Chapter board for the past five years and continues to serve in an advisory role to the board. She has also volunteered as a liaison for IIDA Headquarters to the ASHE board of directors. She continues to mentor young professionals and leads by example.
