Mark GardnerMark Gardner, AIA, NOMA
Jaklitsch/Gardner Architects

Mark Gardner is a principal at Jaklitsch / Gardner Architects, an award-winning design practice and studio that works across scales from product design to interiors to buildings. Gardner has led many of Jaklitsch / Gardner’s design initiatives and works to best understand the role of design as a social practice. His firm has won an AIA National Honor Award and numerous AIANY, NOMA and Architizer design awards.

Gardner is the director of the graduate program in architecture and assistant professor of architectural practice and society at the School of the Constructed Environments, Parsons the New School. He previously taught professional practice at PennDesign from 2007 - 2012. Gardner is on the Board of verseers for the University of Pennsylvania, School Of Design, past president and advocacy chair for nycobaNOMA, the New York chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects. He is a member of the AIANY Exhibition Committee and past co-chair and member of the AIANY Diversity & Inclusion Committee. He is also on the board of trustees of the Van Alen Institute and a fellow of the Urban Design Forum.

Mancini Duffy

As interior design director at Mancini Duffy, Ricardo Nabholz has created environments ranging from corporate headquarters for blue-chip financial firms (HSBC and Prudential) to workplaces for edgy tech entrepreneurs (Peloton) to airline lounges (American Flagship locations at JFK, LGA, and EWR). In his 15+ year career, he has also applied his talents to the hospitality, residential, retail, and academic sectors, winning wide industry recognition for his work.

Nabholz has taught at The Bauhaus-Universität in Weimar and at The School of the Art Institute in Chicago, where he received a bachelor’s degree in interior architecture in 2002. A board member of the IIDA New York Chapter since 2013, he serves as its co-director of public relations.


Diana PisoneDiana Pisone, IIDA, LEED AP, ID+C
Team Principal

Ted Moudis Associates

Diana Pisone has over 20 years of interior design and architectural experience and is especially known for her ability to allow aesthetics and function to work hand in hand. As team principal at Ted Moudis Associates’ Chicago office, her primary responsibility is to serve as a liaison to the firm’s clients and provide superior customer-driven design services. Pisone is accountable for the coordination of all aspects of the project process from programming to project administration, which includes providing management and direction to the design team, the contractor, other consultants, and vendors. 

Pisone has taught courses in mechanical drafting, space planning and professional practice and business ethics at the Illinois Institute of Art. She studied design at Michigan State University.
