Join IIDA at the third annual IIDA Advocacy Symposium in Chicago for a three-day weekend of sessions, speakers, and panels focused on the advocacy topics that matter most to commercial interior designers. Learn critical skills, including how to build relationships with decision-makers, work with other stakeholder groups, and promote grassroots involvement. Connect with passionate, dedicated, and persistent commercial interior design advocates from across the country. 

Here's what to expect at the 2017 Advocacy Symposium:

  • Connect with leaders in the design community at a private reception hosted at NELSON Chicago on Friday, September 22.
  • Listen to keynote speaker Kimberly M. Foxx, the first African-American woman to lead the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office – the second largest prosecutor’s office in the country.
  • Hear panel discussions and participate in conversations about deregulation.
  • Learn how to create advocacy materials and how to testify in front of legislative committees.
  • Attend a special “Ask Me Anything” with Cheryl Durst, Hon. FIIDA, LEED AP, Executive Vice President and CEO, IIDA, and James Kerrigan, IIDA, President of the 2017 - 2018 IIDA International Board of Directors.
  • Celebrate the 2017 Advocate of the Year.
