Annie Chu, IIDA, FAIA

 

Annie Chu

Annie Chu is a professor of interior architecture at Woodbury University and a founding principal of the award-winning CHU+GOODING Architects in Los Angeles. She has a deep portfolio of projects focusing on world-class arts, cultural, and higher education clients.

Annie received a master's degree in building design from Columbia University and a bachelor of architecture from SCI Arc. She trained for 11 years with Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects in New York and Frank Israel in Beverly Hills. Leveraging her design reputation, she champions interior architecture as a distinct and emerging discipline through teaching, public speaking, design juries, and her leadership in the civic and professional realms. She holds various roles as a cultural affairs commissioner for the city of Los Angeles, AIA Interior Architecture Advisory Group, and Contract Magazine’s editorial advisory board. Annie is the recipient of the Leadership Award of Excellence from the IIDA Southern California Chapter and the Presidential Honoree Educator Award from the Los Angeles chapter of the AIA.
