Polly LaBarre is a bestselling author, speaker, and entrepreneur who has worked for nearly 20 years to embolden and equip leaders in every realm of endeavor to make their organizations more resilient, innovative, inspiring, and accountable. As a cofounder and editorial director of the MIX (Management Innovation eXchange), an open innovation project, LaBarre is putting her passion for making the realm of human endeavor more productive, creative, and fulfilling to the test.
A sought-after speaker, moderator, and interviewer, LaBarre has delivered hundreds of keynote addresses around the world and her writing has appeared in a variety of publications, including Fast Company, The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and The Huffington Post. Her most recent research centers around social innovation and sustainable capitalism — what it means to win when good is the new measure of great. Gail Sterling, FIIDA, AAHID, is a Principal and Senior Interior Designer at WHR Architects. She has over 35 years of professional practice experience, specializing in healthcare design for the last 29 years. Her design approach balances critical thinking with empathy to create inspiring solutions that promote health and enhance well-being for patients, staff, and visitors. She values opportunities to help others learn and grow.
As one of the 50 Founding Members of the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers (AAHID), Sterling recently served on the AAHID Board as Secretary/Treasurer. Sterling is actively involved with IIDA, having served at the local, regional and international levels. She was inducted into the IIDA College of Fellows in 2008. She gives back to her community as an enthusiastic volunteer for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, an organization that provides scholarships for Texas students.
