IIDA INDUCTS TWO NEW MEMBERS TO THE COLLEGE OF FELLOWS

June 10, 2007, Chicago, IL – Marilyn Archer, FIIDA, College of Fellows Chair for the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), inducted two IIDA members to the Association’s College of Fellows at their Thirteenth Annual Meeting on Sunday, June 10. Admission to IIDA’s College of Fellows is the highest honor that the Association bestows upon Professional Members, recognizing those who have made outstanding contributions to IIDA and to the interior design profession. The new IIDA Fellows are:

Kelly Bauer, FIIDA, richard + bauer, Ilc (Phoenix, AZ)
William Clegg, FIIDA, Schoenhardt Architecture & Interior Design (Tariffville, CT)

Kelly Bauer, FIIDA, richard + bauer, Ilc (Phoenix, AZ)
Kelly Bauer, completed her education in Interior Design, graduating from the University of Arizona in 1982. With over 22 years of experience in the role of interior designer and project manager for projects ranging in size of 10 to 25 million dollars, Kelly is an award-winning designer with local, regional and national accolades. Her work has been published in Architectural Record, Contract Magazine, House & Garden, and Desert Living Magazine. In 1996, she along with Architect James Richard, AIA founded Richard + Bauer, Ilc. Now celebrating 10 years, this studio-based integrated architectural and interiors practice focus’ primarily on Higher Education, Research and Public and Academic Library design. Kelly Bauer and James Richard were honored as Contract Magazine’s 2006 Designers of the Year. She was also nominated for the 2007 Cooper Hewitt Interior Design Award. Kelly is currently serving as the Vice President of Forums for the Southwest Chapter.

William Clegg, FIIDA, Schoenhardt Architecture & Interior Design (Tariffville, CT)
Bill Clegg joined Schoenhardt Architecture & Interior Design in 1990 to establish the firm’s interior design practice. Bill is currently President/Managing Partner for Schoenhardt. He received his degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Connecticut. He was the 2005-2006 International Vice President of Members, Past President of IIDA’s New England Chapter and he has served on the IIDA Finance Team and International Nominating Team. He is currently serving as the New England Chapter President Elect for a second term. Bill has been honored with a number of Association and industry awards, such as the IIDA 2003 Certificate of Appreciation, the 2004 New England Chapter Leadership Award and the 2005 ARCHI-TECH First Place/Education Award from the University of Connecticut School of Business. Bill chaired the Land Trust Transition Committee which qualifies, finds funding and acquires land for the community to preserve public open spaces, and has also served on the Hartford Perez Committee to End Homelessness.
