2009 Lloy Hack Memorial Essay Scholarship Submittal
As a student with an interest in social issues, I am always looking for ways to design positive environments. In academia without a budget or real client, student projects often focus on sustainability and universal design, but it seems that those and so many other issues are ignored once real world stresses such as budget, client demands, and timelines are present. But thanks to my experience during mentor week at Collins Cooper Carusi Architects in Atlanta, I learned that there are firms and people designing with social concern in mind within the confines of real?world design.
Gain real world experience and insight by participating in IIDA's 8th Annual Student Mentoring Week.
