Julie Burstein, Keynote Speaker

Julie BurnsteinJulie Burstein is a Peabody Award-winning radio producer, TED speaker, and the author of Spark: How Creativity Works (Harper). She spends her working life in conversation with highly creative people–interviewing, probing, guiding, and creating live events and public radio programs about them and their work. Her TED talk, 4 Lessons in Creativity, has been viewed more than 1.7 million times.

Julie is the creator of Studio 360, public radio’s award-winning program about creativity and the arts. She produced and directed TEDxMet for The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and she has created and hosted live conversation series and radio programs for The Met, The American Museum of Natural History, Carnegie Hall, The New York Philharmonic, The Smithsonian, and many other cultural institutions. Julie lectures and leads workshops about creativity at conferences, universities, corporations, and museums all over the world.

ALA aspires to provide the highest level of quality programs that are relevant and responsive to seniors' evolving needs. These programs include: housemate matching, shared living, permanent supportive housing, and independent living. ALA pursues its vision using a socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable framework.
