For Every New Member You Refer Who Joins IIDA, You Will be Entered in a Drawing to Win One of Two $250 American Express Gift Cards!


You know the value of an IIDA membership. Now you can share those benefits by inviting your friends and colleagues to join IIDA and make us an even stronger voice for the profession of Interior Design.

If you are a current member in good standing, for every new member you refer that becomes a Professional, Associate, Educator, Student, Industry Individual, or Affiliate IIDA Member through the Member-Get-A-Member program, you will automatically be entered into a drawing to win one of two $250 American Express gift cards. The more new members you recruit between Sept. 1, 2017 and April 30, 2018, the better your odds of winning.


Member-Get-A-Member FAQ

How does Member-Get-A-Member work?
It’s easy:

  • Ask your referral to include your name and IIDA member number on the second page of the online membership application.
  • Once your referral’s membership is approved, you will receive one entry into the drawing.
  • The more new members you refer, the better your chances of winning.

How long does this campaign run?
The Member-Get-A-Member campaign will run Sept. 1, 2017 through April 30, 2018. In order to make you eligible for this drawing, new members you recruit must have submitted their completed online applications and required documentation by midnight on April 30, 2018.

Is there a special application?
No special form is needed. Any new individual applying for IIDA membership must use the appropriate online application. They are accessible under the Membership tab.

If an individual joins online, will the $75 application fee be waived?
Yes. Effective immediately the $75 application fee is removed from the applicable online applications (excluding Industry Members).

Where does the individual include the referring IIDA Member name and member number?
On the second page of the online application, there’s a field which allows you to include the referring member name and member ID number. IIDA Headquarters will extract this information to keep track of eligible members for the Member-Get-A-Member drawing.


What does it mean to be a member in “good standing?”
IIDA membership runs on the calendar year. Members in good standing have paid their dues for the current year. Their membership should not be in “Pending,” “Grace,” or “Terminated” status.
