IIDA launches new Membership drive

As a Member, you recognize the value and benefits of belonging to IIDA. Now IIDA Headquarters offers an incentive to help you make a financially beneficial offer to your colleagues, and gain rewards for yourself. 

Active Members referring new designers (Professional and Associate) will enable those new Members to be reimbursed for their application fees, gain visibility and notoriety on iida.org, and become part of specialty practice forums, online communities and busy, active Chapters.

DATES AND DEADLINES | The Member Stimulus Campaign will run from October 1, 2009 through to March 30, 2010.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE | Active Members can refer Design professionals who are not currently IIDA Members to join at the Professional and Associate level. (Students and Industry Memberships are not eligible.)

QUALIFICATIONS | Only Active Members in good standing whose dues are fully paid to date can refer New Members. New Members must have the Name and Membership Number of the person referring them in order to apply.

NEW MEMBER BENEFITS | New Prospective Members (Professional and Associates) will receive a reimbursement for their $75 application fee upon approval of their IIDA Membership.

REFERRING MEMBER BENEFITS | Every Active Member who recruits 5 Prospective Members will be entered into a raffle for 2 tickets to their Chapter’s signature event. Any Member who doesn’t reach 5 recruits but attains the most recruits in their Chapter will also be eligible.

EXTRA INCENTIVES | Winning Members from each Chapter and the New Members they recruit, will be profiled on the IIDA Headquarters website. Additionally, they will be featured in the IIDA bi-weekly newsletter, DesignMatters.

HOW IT WORKS | Prospective Members fill out the appropriate online application. In the Membership Campaign Promo field (Campaign Promo Info) they will enter the name and membership number of the Active Member that referred them. As shown below:

Once the Prospective Member has been approved for Membership; all supporting documents and payment have been received, HQ will verify that the Active Referring Member is in good standing and the Prospective Member will be reimbursed the $75 application fee.
