The Northern California Chapter is vibrant and enormously diversified over its three thousand mile and multiple time zones, encompassing the Central Valley and coast of Northern California across the Pacific to Hawaii. Within this large chapter, are six City Centers: San Francisco, East Bay, Silicon Valley, Sacramento, Fresno and Hawaii. The City Centers meet  the varied regional needs of its professional, industry and student members.

IIDA-NC’s annual events are some of the most sought after invitations of the year for the area's design community. The prestigious Honor Awards has become the major West Coast design competition. Pioneers in Design presents inspiring discussions led by the “legends” of our industry. The national Leaders Breakfast series invites guest speakers who are leaders in other industries to share their insight and expertise. During this event a local design industry icon is honored. IIDA-NC’s Golf Tournament is loads of fun and gives our members a chance to play as hard as they work, while at the same time providing a major source of funds for the Chapter’s philanthropic work. In addition, each City Center has initiated a “Members Only” event, intended as a very special and exclusive experience to further enhance the benefit of membership.
