Serving Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana
IIDA Rocky Mountain Chapter covers Colorado, Montana, Utah and Wyoming with three City Centers in Colorado Springs, Denver, and Salt Lake City. Our Chapter has over 300 members ;approximately one-third of our members are students. Many events are held at City Centers to allow for participation of most of our members.
An event unique to the Rocky Mountain Chapter is the Incredible Edible Chair Event held each Spring in Denver and Salt Lake City. The design community is encouraged to created scaled and sometimes full-scale models of chairs made from edible substances. Each year the event has been highlighted on local television news programs and mentioned in local newspapers. The event provides a casual atmosphere in which members can get to know one another.
Many other events are held throughout the year in which members can receive Continuing Education credits. The Rocky Mountain Chapter also joins ASID in supporting Design Awareness Week in Salt Lake City each Spring. The Rocky Mountain Chapter is dedicated to providing educational as well as networking opportunities to its members.
