IIDA is the “Future of Design,” and we recognize that no one embodies this idea better than our Student Members. We recognize the influence you have on the profession and we provide you with information and access to events that enable you to begin a successful career.
Student Memberships run on the Student Calendar year, September through August. When you graduate, IIDA offers active IIDA Student Members a reduced dues rate to upgrade to Associate Membership.
This Membership is available to active IIDA Student Members, who have recently graduated. A special rate is offered for the first year as an Associate Member. (A copy of official Diploma or Transcripts will be required upon applying.) Apply using this special application.
$50 Available to students who are enrolled full- or part-time in an Interior Design or a related educational program. Student Memberships are valid for one Student Calendar year, September through August. Proof of enrollment is required yearly and can take the form of a class schedule, a current student ID, or a note of verification signed by a college professor.
The International Interior Design Association recognizes that the future of design lies in our Student Members. Just as students help to change the future of design, IIDA advances the future of the profession through innovative leadership and through dynamic collaboration with Members. Be a part of it.
Help shape your collegiate experience by joining an IIDA Campus Center. Campus Centers were designed to give students a direct and interactive approach to the issues surrounding the Interior Design field. Being a member of a Campus Center will sharpen your leadership skills and offer you valuable networking opportunities. You will gain recognition for putting together informative programs. Begin giving perspective to the profession and your peers, today!
Our programs are met with great enthusiasm annually, and it is wonderful to receive positive student feedback on how Student Mentoring Week and the Student Sustainable Design Competition have influenced our student’s careers.
As part of your Member benefits, you will receive access to several publications and online forums that strive to meet your needs as a student.
Perspective: IIDA’s journal for the profession, focused on timely issues in research and the business of design. With informative, cutting-edge articles, it has become a staple for design education, and promotes awareness for all design practice areas.
Custom: Sent out quarterly to our Student Members. This e-newsletter highlights articles written by students and strives to pack each issue with industry trends, future of the design job market and career resources to help you after graduation.
Knowledge Center: Need help with a design project? Turn to our online repository, The Knowledge Center, full of interior design research and resources.
