The Sustainability Advisor position was created to facilitate increased collaboration among existing IIDA Forums. IIDA is committed to enhancing the quality of life through excellence in interior design and advancing interior design through knowledge. To that end, issues of sustainability and green design are no exception. The Sustainability Advisor seeks to keep individuals apprised of current events, projects and research concerning this important and growing arena within the interior design profession.
Rob has over 15 years experience in interior architectural design and project management in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, with a particular focus on sustainability.
Encourage the use of interior design strategies that reduce negative impacts on the environment
Support collaborative efforts among practitioners, educators, and industry members to design in a socially responsible way
Educate the public and the design community on the role of sustainable design in promoting the health and well-being of the people who inhabit the spaces we design
