The establishment of the Sustainable Design Education Fund is an important Foundation initiative. Created through the generosity of Maharam, this fund serves as a vehicle to advance the awareness and knowledge on the topic of sustainable design.
IIDA Professional and Associate Members who take and pass the LEED Accreditation Exam may apply for consideration for tuition reimbursement. The following IIDA Members have been recipients of this program:
Only IIDA Members in good standing are eligible to participate. Members who have taken and passed the exam in the time period of July 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010 may request consideration for reimbursement.
The Foundation will award financial assistance to 5 (five) IIDA Members. The process for determining the five recipients will be a lottery system. Recipients will be notified in March 2011. Maximum reimbursement will be $450.
Members are requested to forward their documentation and application (photo copies are permissible, receipt of payment indicating member’s name, or a copy of the cancelled check both front and back sides are required for proof of payment) confirming the above listed items via US mail or via fax to IIDA Headquarters by 5:00 P.M./Central Time, Friday, January 28, 2011.
