IIDA ANNOUNCES THE WINNERS OF THE 12TH ANNUAL IIDA SHOWROOM & BOOTH DESIGN COMPETITION, CO-SPONSORED WITH CONTRACT MAGAZINE

June 10, 2007, Chicago, ILBrian Thornton, IIDA, Vice President of Communications for the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), announces the winners of the 12th Annual IIDA Showroom & Booth Design Competition, co-sponsored with Contract Magazine. The Competition is part of the Association’s activities at NeoCon® 2007. The award winners were presented with certificates on June 10, 2007, and will be featured in an upcoming issue of Contract Magazine.

Creative Excellence awards were presented to the following winners:

The Award for Showrooms larger than 3,000 sq. ft. was presented to Milliken Carpet designed by Studio Q.

The Award for Showrooms of 3,000 sq. ft. or less was given to Antron designed by Resource Center.

The Award for Booths of 400 sq. ft. or larger was awarded to 3Form designed by Guillaume Martin and Jill Canales.

The Award for Booths of less than 400 sq. ft. was awarded to Lutron designed by E. Scott Denison.

The Best of Show Award was presented to Milliken Carpet.

Judging criteria included originality of design; visual impact; effective use of materials; use of space (creativity, product accessibility, and other factors); use of color and textures; lighting; and graphics.
