WINNERS OF 1ST ANNUAL IIDA GOVERNMENT DESIGN AWARDS ANNOUNCED
October 27, 2008, Chicago, IL – The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) is pleased to announce the winners of the first annual IIDA Government Design Awards. NeoCon East attendees are invited to join IIDA in honoring the winning projects on October 29, 2008, 1:30 p.m. at the theater on the show floor of the Baltimore Convention Center. The Awards honor outstanding government design in the categories of: Administration Buildings, Dormitories and Quarters, Healthcare and Hospitality. The four winning projects are:
The judges for the 2008 Government Design Awards were Deborah Loveridge, IIDA, Interior Designer, NAVFACSW and IIDA Government Forum Advisor Mariann Schofield, IIDA, Senior Designer, USAFSC.
“I am thrilled by the number and variety of the submissions for the first annual IIDA Government Design Awards. This competition recognizes that outstanding design is a vital element of government facilities and will be a staple of government design for years to come,” says Mariann Schofield, IIDA, IIDA Government Forum Advisor.
