Terri Trespicio

Terri Trespicio is an award-winning writer, speaker, and brand advisor. Her TEDx talk, “Stop Searching for Your Passion," has earned more than 4.5 million views to date. A former magazine editor and radio host at Martha Stewart, she has appeared on the Today Show, Dr. Oz, The Early Show, The Martha Stewart Show, and The Anderson Cooper Show. Her work has been featured Oprah magazine, Marie Claire, Prevention, Business Insider,, and Trespicio teaches people how to deliver their messages on screen and on stage through her consulting work and her courses, Lights Camera Expert and Tapped to Speak, as well as her live event, Tapped to Speak LIVE. Trespicio is also a stand-up comic and performs across New York.

Houston Furniture Bank Accepted by Oli Mohammad, Executive Director, Leadership Award of Excellence Honoree

Oli Mohammad

Houston Furniture Bank is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization dedicated to making empty houses homes by providing basic furniture and household items to families in need. The Furniture Bank's story began in 1992 as a program for The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD. Under the direction of then Executive Director Dr. Steven Schnee, the organization provided clients transitioning out of mental health facilities with essential furniture. Within three years, services expanded to include the clientsof numerous other charitable organizations. In 2003, with the leadership of Executive Director Oli Mohammed, Houston Furniture Bank was established as an independent nonprofit organization serving the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area. During its 26-year history, Houston Furniture Bank has received donations of over a million pieces of furniture, making it possible to serve over 27,000 families inneed. More than 50,000 children have slept in beds, and have been able to sit at a table to share their meals. Houston Furniture Bank has served more than 100,000 individuals since 1992.
