Patricia Saldaña Natke is president and design principal of UrbanWorks Ltd, an award winning architecture, planning, and interior design firm in Chicago. She is responsible for the visionary design direction of the firm and has a passion for cities, neighborhoods, and especially the most vulnerable sections of cities and their population. She is a firm believer that well designed spaces and places galvanize urban transformation.

Natke has served as an adjunct professor at the UIC Graduate School of Architecture, facilitator at Archeworks, part-time professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology School of Architecture for the Advanced Design Studios, and a thesis advisor for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is a board member of AIA Chicago, previously chaired the National AIA Diversity Committee, and was a past president of Chicago Women in Architecture. Natke's extraordinary record of public service imbues her firm with a strong civic design ethic.


Nita Posada, IIDANita Posada, IIDA

Nita Posada's career has been broadly focused, including programming, planning, management and design  for academic, workplace, hospitality, healthcare, civic, and athletics projects. As director of interior design for Skylab, Posada has had the pleasure to extend her work internationally to clients in South America and Europe. She has a bachelor's in interior architecture from the University of Oregon and is heavily involved in her community. Posada is a past president of the IIDA Oregon Chapter.



Enrique Vela, IIDA, AIAEnrique Vela, IIDA, AIA
Associate Principal

Enrique Vela has more than 15 years of experience as a designer and project manager and is an associate principal at Rottet Studio’s Los Angeles office. Vela boasts an extensive portfolio of corporate, hospitality, and residential experience and has distinguished himself as a leader within the firm among peers and before clients through his creative design approach to each project. In 2014, Boutique Design magazine honored Vela in Boutique 18, the magazine’s yearly roster of noteworthy, on-the-rise designers of hospitality interiors.

Vela’s experience also includes spa, restaurant, and bar projects in New York, Las Vegas, Toronto, Dubai, and Amsterdam. He has also worked on hotel projects in La Jolla and Huntington Beach, California, and Miami, Florida. His corporate projects experience includes an energy company headquarters in Qatar as well as law office projects in New York.
